Benefits of Apples
The old saying “ to eat an apple going to bed, will make the doctor beg his bread” has been justified by its many health-rich properties. A member of the rose family, fossil remains have shown that apples were gathered and stored 5,000 years ago and it’s likely that they were already cultivated during the Neolithic times. Apples are excellent detoxifiers and apple juice can destroy viruses in the body.
In one recent study , Riu Hai Liu of Cornell University, has found although apples has only a small amount of vitamin C, eating 100 grams of apple provides the same amount of antioxidant activity as taking 1,500 milligrams of the same vitamin.
Just make sure you do not take too many apple seeds because it could be toxic if taken in large amount.
Benefits of Apples:
1. Apple cleans teeth and strengthens gum
2. Will make the cholesterol level lower
3. Detoxify the body and has an antiviral property
4. Apple will also prevent constipation because it helps digestion
5. One large apple supplies almost 30% of minimum amount of fiber that should be consumed daily
The use :
1. For people who suffer from gout and rheumatism, eat apple regularly because it will aid healing
2. Eating 2 apples a day will reduce your cholesterol level up to 10 %
3. Drinking an apple juice, 3 times a day, is said to prevent virus from settling in the body.
4. Another benefit of apple is for those who have problem with their stomach. If you have problem with indigestion, eat apples before meals.
5. Grated apple, when mixed with live yogurt may be helpful in cases of diarrhea
Tips :
1) Never buy apples that have not been kept cold since they can be over-ripe in a few days.
2) Apples should be hard. If you can dent an apple with your finger, DO NOT BUY IT.
3) Keep your apples refrigerated. If not, it will decay fast.
4) To prevent browning, rub the cut surfaces with a mixture of lemon juice and water.
5) Canadian researchers analyzing eight popular varieties found that the old standby, Red Delicious, and an apple called Northern Spy contain more disease-fighting antioxidants in their skin and flesh than any other studied. In English this means red apples are better than other apples.

5 Healthy Life long habits to LIVE a Hundred
Is it really possible for anyone to live happily to 100?
The good news is that your body is designed to be 100 –
You just have to get out of the way. Getting out of the way
means taking an honest look at the habits and life style you
are living with today. Most of us have developed habits that
limit our true health potential. But don’t let these bad habits of
the past discourage you. It is never too late to make new choices.
What you did in the past can be changed, and your body will res-
pond in kind. What matters is what you do from this moment for-
ward. It takes 14 to 21 days of repetitive behaviour to form a new
pattern in your brain. Once the pattern is form, it becomes an auto-
matic behavioural response. As you develop new healthy habits, they
will begin to replace bad habits. These healthy life long habits are
adapted straight from the time-tested traditions practiced by centi-
narians all around the world, and I can say with certainty that they
will transform and rejuvenate you.
EAT five (5) small meals a day.
In the western culture, meals are taken three times a day, but it is much better to eat five smaller
meals. When you eat smaller portions five times a day, you deliver
a steady stream of nutrients, blood sugar, and energy to your body
through out the day. Additionally, eating this way is less taxing on
the digestive and metabolic systems and also reduces your risk of
heart disease.
CLIMB the stairs instead of using elevators.
The health benefits of a daily exercise program cannot be stressed enough. Regular
exercise can help promote physiological well-being , strengthen the
immune system, maintain joint mobility, increase energy and the list
goes on. Look for opportunities all through your day to work in
physical activity. Power-walk, run, or ride your bike instead of dri-
ving . Begin a daily tai chi practice. Join a gym and actually go!
Practice safely and watch your health results pile up.
LAUGH it up!
We know from research that laughter and joy
Boost immune functions, especially the production of the natural
killer cells that help protect the body from illness and cancer.
Laughter also increases the release of endorphins, compound that
Give you a sense of well-being, in your brain. Without a doubt,
Joyful people live longer and healthier lives.
DRINK 8 glasses of water everyday.
Water is essential for all. Healthy body functions. CENTENARIANS from around the globe,
site their native water as the source of their health and longevity-
and the scientists agree with them. What they all have in common
is pure water sources located far from any city, free from chemicals
and toxins. Eg. Vetsin, additives or most ready to eat mixes.
Choose filtered water, the best filtration processes are the ones that
use activated charcoal, which removes impurities but leaves the water
soluble minerals. Also do not store water in plastic containers be-
cause the polychlorinated biphenyls. (PCBs) can leach to the water.
UNWIND with Meditations.. Stress is the root cause of most of the
diseases that shorten our life span. In our modern society, stress
will continue to increase- unless you find techniques to manage it.
Meditation is the best way to release tension and revitalize your being.
It teaches you breathe properly, which is critical for eliminating up
to 70 % of your body’s toxins and wastes. It also quiets your mind,
lowers your stress hormones, and teaches self-discipline which is a
necessary attribute to achieving your health and longevity goals.
Try this beginning meditation:
Sit comfortably on a chair or the floor. Breathe naturally and close
your eyes. Each time a thought appears, put it inside a balloon and
let it fly up into the sky and disappear. Do this until the thoughts
are exhausted. After a bit, your body will feel very light, and mind
will become still. The first few times it may take a while, but it will
get easier, and faster, with practice….
I HOPE YOU USE THESE HEALTHY HABITS FOR YEARS TO COME!

The Right Way To Drink Your Water
The Right Way To Drink Your Water
By Dr. Willie T. Ong
Our bodies are made up of mostly water. Just look at the facts: The brain contains 74% water, blood contains 83% water, lean muscle has 75% and bone has 22%water. Experts agree that water is one of the most powerful forms of treatment. So how come most people don't drink enough water?
10 Health Benefits of Water:
1. Water prevents kidney stones. The most common cause of kidney stones is not drinking enough water. Since water dissolves the substances that form stones in the urine, drinking 12 glasses daily helps treat kidney stones.
2. Water treats urinary tract infection. The more water you drink, the more you will urinate. "Drinking lots of water will help flush out harmful bacteria from your bladder," says Medical City kidney specialist Dr. Roberto Tanchanco.
3. Water helps patients with diarrhea by preventing dehydration. As a first-aid for diarrhea, you can make your own oral rehydration solution at home. Mix a glass ofwater with 2 teaspoons sugar and ¼ teaspoon salt, and drink as much as you can tolerate. This is similar to the dextrose solution in the hospital.
4. Water helps reduce fever. For symptoms of flu, water can help lower your body temperature when you urinate the "heat" out of your body. If you're sick, drink more water for you to recover faster.
5. Water helps treat cough and colds, sore throat, and respiratory infections. Water helps loosen sticky phlegm. A respected lung specialist told me that some mucolytics out there are just as beneficial as drinking lots of water.
6. Water reduces heartburn. Taking 2-3 gulps of water every 20 minutes or so can help flush the stomach acid away. Bananas and water are effective alternatives to taking antacids. Try it.
7. Water prevents constipation and its complications. Too little water can harden the stools and lead to hemorrhoids and diverticulosis, a disease of the large bowel. Drink water and eat lots of vegetables to soften your stools.
8. Water keeps you alert and energetic. If you're dehydrated, your blood is literally thicker. This makes it harder for the blood to circulate. As a result, the brain can become less active and you can feel confused and fatigued. Some studies also show that water may help cure migraine headaches.
9. Water helps reduce weight. By drinking a glass or two of water before a meal, you will lessen the amount of food you can take in order to feel full. Water has zero calories and will not make you fat.
10. Water keeps your skin soft and radiant. Just as a dehydrated person will have deep-set eyes and wrinkled skin, so will a fully hydrated person exhibit a normal and beautiful skin tone.
The Proper Way To Drink Water:
1. Drink water when you wake up. Your body loses water while you sleep, so drink a glass before you go to sleep, and another glass when you wake up. You are naturally thirsty or dehydrated in the morning. Drinking water in the morning helps flush out the toxins that have accumulated all night.
2. Drink 8 to 12 glasses a day. According to the Mayo Clinic, a 120-pound individual needs 8 cups of water a day, while a 190-pound person would require 12 cups daily. Dr. Robert Tanchanco says that we should monitor our urine color and keep it on the light side. However, drink only a maximum of 16 glasses a day, and not more.
3. Drink little by little throughout the day. It is preferable to sip water throughout the day rather than to drink two glasses all at once. This will lessen the stress on the heart (especially if you have heart disease) and give your body more time to absorb it.
4. Don't wait until you're thirsty to drink water. By the time you feel thirsty, you're probably already 2 glasses below your normal water needs. Elderly people are also less sensitive to the body's need for water.
5. Drink water, not soft drinks, alcohol or coffee. Some experts believe that tea, sodas and coffee can be potentially dehydrating. Moreover, the high phosphorus and sugar content in cola drinks can lead to conditions like osteoporosis and diabetes. One study shows that adults who drank six cups of coffee daily experienced mild dehydration. Drinking alcohol is much worse because it actually dehydrates you by making you urinate a lot.
6. Train children to drink water. Set a good example to your kids and drink water together. Make sure that children drink enough water when they're active. Pack a large bottled water in their lunch box.
7. Drink more when it's hot. People living in hot climates like the Philippines need to drink more water. They are more prone to develop kidney stones compared to those living in cooler regions.
8. Drink more as you exercise. When you exercise, you need to drink more water to compensate for fluid loss. Go for an extra 500 ml of water for a 30-minute to 1-hour exercise. Eating a banana also helps keep your potassium up.
9. Drink more when you're sick. Even though you don't feel like it, you really need to drink more water to help your body recover from various infections. If you're dehydrated, you'll feel much worse.
10. Drink more if you're pregnant. Women who are expecting or breast-feeding need additional fluids to stay hydrated. The Institute of Medicine recommends that pregnant women drink 10 cups of fluids daily and women who breast-feed take in about 13 cups of fluids a day.

WATER therapy
Cure # 1: Water prevents and cures heartburn.
Heartburn is a signal of water shortage in the upper part of the gastrointestinal tract. It is a major thirst signal of the human body. The use of antacids or tablet medications in the treatment of this pain does not correct dehydration, and the body continues to suffer as a result of its water shortage.
Tragedy: Not recognizing heartburn as a sign of dehydration and treating it with antacids and pill medications will, in time, produce inflammation of the stomach and duodenum, hiatal hernia, ulceration, and eventually cancers in the gastrointestinal tract, including the liver and pancreas.
Cure # 2: Water prevents and cures arthritis.
Rheumatoid joint pain - arthritis - is a signal of water shortage in the painful joint. It can affect the young as well as the old. The use of pain-killers does not cure the problem, but exposes the person to further damage from pain medications. Intake of water and small amounts of salt will cure this problem.
Cure # 3: Water prevents and cures back pain.
Low back pain and ankylosing arthritis of the spine are signs of water shortage in the spinal column and discs - the water cushions that support the weight of the body. These conditions should be treated with increased water intake - not a commercial treatment, but a very effective one.
Tragedy: Not recognizing arthritis and low back pain as signs of dehydration in the joint cavities and treating them with pain-killers, manipulation, acupuncture, and eventually surgery will, in time, produce osteoarthritis when the cartilage cells in the joints have eventually all died. It will produce deformity of the spine. It will produce crippling deformities of the limbs. Pain medications have their own life-threatening complications.
Cure # 4: Water prevents and cures angina.
Heart pain - angina - is a sign of water shortage in the heart/lung axis. It should be treated with increased water intake until the patient is free of pain and independent of medications. Medical supervision is prudent. However, increased water intake is angina's cure.
Cure # 5: Water prevents and cures migraines.
Migraine headache is a sign of water need by the brain and the eyes. It will totally clear up if dehydration is prevented from establishing in the body. The type of dehydration that causes migraine might eventually cause inflammation of the back of the eye and possibly loss of eye sight.
Cure #6: Water prevents and cures colitis.
Colitis pain is a signal of water shortage in the large gut. It is associated with constipation because the large intestine constricts to squeeze the last drop of waterfrom the excrements - thus the lack of water lubrication.
Tragedy: Not recognizing colitis pain as a sign of dehydration will cause persistent constipation. Later in life, it will cause fecal impacting: it can cause diverticulitis, hemorrhoids and polyps, and appreciably increases the possibility of developing cancer of the colon and rectum.
Cure # 7: Water and salt prevent and cure asthma.
Asthma, which also affects 14 million children and kills several thousand of them every year, is a complication of dehydration in the body. It is caused by the drought management programs of the body. In asthma free passage of air is obstructed so that water does not leave the body in the form of vapor - the winter steam. Increased water intake will prevent asthma attacks. Asthmatics need also to take more salt to break the mucus plugs in the lungs that obstruct the free flow of air in and out of the air sacs.
Tragedy: Not recognizing asthma as the indicator of dehydration in the body of a growing child not only will sentence many thousands of children to die every year, but will permit irreversible genetic damage to establish in the remaining 14 million asthmatic children.
Cure # 8: Water prevents and cures high blood pressure.
Hypertension is a state of adaptation of the body to a generalized drought, when there is not enough water to fill all the blood vessels that diffuse water into vital cells. As part of the mechanism of reverse osmosis, when water from the blood serum is filtered and injected into important cells through minute holes in their membranes, extra pressure is needed for the "injection process." Just as we inject I.V. "water" in hospitals, so the body injects water into tens of trillions of cells all at the same time. Water and some salt intake will bring blood pressure back to normal!
Tragedy: Not recognizing hypertension as one of the major indicators of dehydration in the human body, and treating it with diuretics that further dehydrate the body will, in time, cause blockage by cholesterol of the heart arteries and the arteries that go to the brain. It will cause heart attacks and small or massive strokes that paralyze. It will eventually cause kidney disease. It will cause brain damage and neurological disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease.
Cure # 9: Water prevents and cures early adult-onset diabetes.
Adult-onset diabetes is another adaptive state to severe dehydration of the human body. To have adequate water in circulation and for the brain's priority waterneeds, the release of insulin is inhibited to prevent insulin from pushing water into all body cells. In diabetes, only some cells get survival rations of water. Water and some salt will reverse adult-onset diabetes in its early stages.
Tragedy: Not recognizing adult-onset diabetes as a complication of dehydration will, in time, cause massive damage to the blood vessels all over the body. It will cause eventual loss of the toes, feet and legs from gangrene. It will cause eye damage, even blindness.
Cure # 10: Water lowers blood cholesterol.
High cholesterol levels are an indicator of early drought management by the body. Cholesterol is a clay-like material that is poured in the gaps of some cell membranes to safeguard them against losing their vital water content to the osmotically more powerful blood circulating in their vicinity. Cholesterol, apart from being used to manufacture nerve cell membranes and hormones, is also used as a "shield" against water taxation of other vital cells that would normally exchange water through their cell membranes.
Cure # 11: Water cures depression, loss of libido, chronic fatigue syndrome, lupus, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy.
These conditions are caused by prolonged chronic dehydration. They will clear up once the body becomes well and regularly hydrated. In these conditions, exercising one's muscles should be part of the treatment program.
Heartburn is a signal of water shortage in the upper part of the gastrointestinal tract. It is a major thirst signal of the human body. The use of antacids or tablet medications in the treatment of this pain does not correct dehydration, and the body continues to suffer as a result of its water shortage.

Top 10 Worst Junk Foods
Top 10 Worst Junk Foods
By Gunn Sikk
I'm here to tell you about reality and fantasy. Reality is not all foods are created equal, in fact, a lot of them are junk. The fantasy is, if you think by eating a lot of junk foods you're going to remain healthy, you're mistaken.
That's why I've created the top 10 list of worst junk foods people commonly eat.
10. Fruit drinks. Not to be confused with fruit juices, fruit drinks are 10 per cent or less real fruit sugar. They're loaded with artificial colouring and sucrose. Definitely teeth rotters.
9. White bread. Yes, this is a junk food. Everytime you're looking at a slice of white bread you are seeing a slice of sugar-it acts in the body the same way.
8. Doughnut. It's white bread dipped and deep-fried and sugar. What can be worse? No wonder there's a big hole in the middle, it's a nutritional zero.
7. Decaffeinated coffee. An excellent way to remove the caffeine and add chemical solvent residue right into your favourite beverage.
6. Pop. Let's see now, how do you spell increased bone breakage? P-O-P.
5. Diet pop. You get all the dandy benefits of pop, plus artificial sweetener, which has been shown in studies to actually increase your sugar cravings and alter your brain chemistry.
4. Sugary breakfast cereals. Now here's a guarantee: If you want to start your day in a low lifeforce mode, then this is the junk breakfast for you.
3. Deep-dish pizza. This is an excellent way to stack, jack and pack your G.I. tract with one big dollop of sodium, dough and fat-an overnight weight-gain wonder.
2. Ice cream. Here's a beauty, high in sugar and high in fat, for another whack attack on your pancreas and your arteries.
And the number one worst junk food hands down is...
1. French fries and potato chips. Here's why: Yes, it's unparalleled sodium-loading enzyme-dead food. But new information now shows that it's high in acrylimide, a known cancer-causing agent. In fact, the amount of acyrlimide in a serving of fast-food French fries is 300 times above the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's limit set for one glass of water.
Now, every behaviour carries with it it's own consequences. It's no different with nutrition. Reality or fantasy, take your pick. Choose wisely

Article Submission: two ways to do!
Everyone knows that submitting well-written, keyword-rich articles to article repository sites on the Internet is the best way to build links to your web sites in Google and other search engines.
But very few people realize there's a wrong way to do this. And doing it wrong is worse than not doing it at all.
Most people who are new to using articles as part of their marketing strategies get off to a bad start because they don't understand the delicate strategy involved with precisely placing articles in the article sites best suited for a particular subject.
You see, not all article repositories are the same. Some get high traffic for all subjects. Some get highly-targeted traffic across one or two very specific niches. And some don't get any traffic at all. Those sites fall under the definition of "bad neighborhoods" according to Google.
Not understanding the differences among article repositories is where the trouble starts for the inexperienced marketer. These days, it's too easy to sign up for those "article blasting" services that SPAM article repositories with thousands of worthless ads; the ads that have been written by who knows who and are often filled with spelling and grammar errors. As these types of articles build up in the lower-quality sites, and they build up very quickly thanks to the thousands of people using these "blasting" services, the site begins to develop a bad reputation. Soon, the search engines start dropping the links like hot potatoes.
How do savvy professional marketers get around this ranking trap?
They depend on the services offered by professional article placement agencies. These agencies specialize in submitting articles manually to hand-picked sites that will return the best search engine ranking results. The people behind these professional services understand how the article placement game is really played. They know that success is all about quality and has nothing to do with quantity. After all, what good is having your articles listed on hundreds of sites if those sites are banned by Google and other search engines? It hurts your business!
